Cogeneration as a solution to congested grid
Recip natural gas Engine driven COGEN is the clear solution for electric utilities, but they are afraid to replace any of their own capacity and try to charge COGEN users "departure" charges when they install COGEN. Wind and Solar are nice but unreliable and cannot make a dent in the problem

Master's thesis on Smart grid and AMR
Respected sir, I am doing my MTech in the area of wireless Sensor Network. I am working on Wireless AMR. And I am looking for smart grid based topic to carry out mu Mtech Thesis. I could find lots of topic on this site but still it would be better if you could suggest for me. http://wsnamr.blogspot.com Can i say that this can be latest topic in the energy distibution.

BPA and WAPPA
I am trying to understand why BPA and WAPPA are allocated part of the stimulus funding, but TVA and SWAPA are not. Can you clarify how that was decided and what the criteria was?

You wrote about Beacon Power some time ago. The editor may be interested in writing another piece on Beacon Power "before" DOE provides them a large sum of money "as opposed to after" DOE provides them a large sum of money.

| The WAY of ELASTIC FIXING of BUILDING DESIGNS USUAL And ШАРНИРНОГО СОЧЛЕНЕИЙ " (further the WAY) Instead of rigid fixing buildings with the ground and rigid connection of elements of building designs among themselves is patented and requires in realization ", that is an original cause of their destructions at spontaneous cataclysms and technogenic accidents for the first time it is offered for objects малоэтажного constructions: buildings inhabited (cottages, campings, hotels and т. Item), industrial and auxiliary purposes essentially new volumetric-constructive бесфундаментное the decision with бескаркасным and frame connection of protecting designs: " Sandwich " - and monopanels, and also elements of a building skeleton: columns, beams, crossbars, etc. with their elastic fixing among themselves. On the WAY (know-how) are not terrible natural cataclysms: hurricanes, plentiful snowfalls and blizzards, flooding. Earthquakes, and also any technogenic: local explosions of gas and devices. Buildings and constructions on the WAY it is impossible to destroy малоэтажные structures! The WAY guarantees: - preservation of a life of the people who are being premises at any accidents; - the WAY provides safety of subjects of a life and personal things, and also means of production and subjects of work: - refusal of labour-consuming and ineffective fastenings building designs by means of сварочных, болтовых, glutinous and other traditional connections; - Orientation on industrial as manufacture modular - integral, volumetric-block container type and harmonious manufacturing малоэтажных elements of buildings (under the separate patent) including for oil-and-gas sector, the geological prospecting, instantly erected objects of the Ministry of Emergency Measures, etc. - free installation of a structure on сборно-разборнуюплиту or the monolithic floor, supplied engineering the communications. | Smart Metres |
One of the things that most miss completely, and as sad as it is, they ignore any warnings. But, these Smart Metres are all great, but have you every thought of the consequences of everyone basically having another mobile phone in their house and those occupants are being bathed in RF, which has been shown to be the cause of all forms of cancers. This explosion is now a replacement for asbestos and passive smoking kills. When are the modern so-called brains of the world realise that RF also goes through human cells. When are the modern so-called brains of the world realise that the increase of cancers, particularly in children and adults under the age of 25 years has increased a thousand-fold. Mate, I would be more worried about this silent killer as a killer than an invasion of privacy. Regards

Locations of Smart Grid Links in Spain and Portugal
I wish to know the locations of the Smart Grid Links in Spain and Portugal so that I can sell back to the Electricity Authorities the Surplus electricity I generate. Also can you please give me an indication of the the rate I will receive foir such surplus. Many thanks, Burt McCarthy.

DR Stability
You've probably covered this, but it seems like a terrible problem not easily solved. When generation or transmission is maxed out, you call for demand reduction, but you're now dealing with some combination of humans and computers responding to the call. The responses may be extreme or insane. This is a control loop. How do you make sure it's stable??? People had better start dealing with this!

DR Stability Solution
Let me respond to my previous post, and then other people can complain. Customers must not be allowed to respond arbitrarily to DR requests or dynamic pricing. Customers should be required to make a DR "contract" far enough in advance that their freedom won't harm control. After that, they are required to abide by the contract, either on pain of total disconnection or on pain of disconnection of "nonessential" loads, which is more invasive. (Even if they choose to fall onto jet-engine, peak generators at a high price, I don't think they should be allowed to do this impromptu.) This is a categorical improvement for the utility, as the utility's IT can examine the contracts and predict the load at any price. Without this safety measure, dynamic pricing is a time bomb. Sooner or later, it'll go off.

Celebrating Ignorance, my boss would call it...
Where do you people get this stuff? Do you just read a line of an article and make an argument based on it (or against it)? Seriously, if you want to make a comment, make sure you understand the subject first. The only response to a specific post I have is to the gentleman who stated no one should "forced" into change. Well, if you don't want to be "forced" into the 21st century, I guess you will have to generate your own electricity since entire service areas are run on these grids. Have fun with that.
